Service Terms & Conditions
Payment
Clients will be invoiced for packages and travel expenses, where applicable, in advance, and payment is due in full before the first session.
Supplies will be invoiced separately after the session.
I accept payment by bank transfer or PayPal. My PayPal account is set up to accept online payment by credit or debit card.
I’m fully insured, DBS checked and a certified member of APDO.
Supplies
All agreed new storage supplies and organising materials will be billed upon completion of a project.
I will make suggestions and source organising products for you where necessary and provide relevant details, sizes and measurements.
I carry stock of my most used organising products and will have them available during the session.
Travel
I’m based in Kilmarnock, and primarily work with clients within the Ayrshire and South Glasgow area. Travel costs within a 20-mile distance are included in the cost of a session.
Travel outside 20 miles will incur an additional charge of 45p per mile.
My virtual service allows me to work remotely with clients regardless of their geographical location.
Cancellations
When a client books an appointment with me, that time is reserved exclusively for them and becomes unavailable for anyone else to use.
If you need to cancel an appointment (for anything other than a genuine last-minute emergency), please give at least 24 hours advance notice so that others may take advantage of the available time.
If I need to cancel a session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a credit for that session only OR the option to reschedule. In the event you’ve booked a session that you need to cancel last minute, rescheduling is complimentary, but the session is nonrefundable.
I reserve the right to withdraw from an organising project at any time if the project involves perceived unsafe working conditions, if clients are in breach of their agreement with me (e.g. nonpayment), or if I cannot render the services requested by the client through no fault of my own.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Given the sensitive nature of the work I do and the high level of trust it requires my clients to place in me, you can be assured of absolute privacy when working with me.
As a member of APDO, the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers, I adhere strictly to its Code of Ethics which emphasises confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
Any information you give me either verbally or in writing, will be treated as confidential. I will not discuss your personal information with others unless I have permission from you.
Photo and/or video footage can be taken during your session which most clients find helpful, motivating and a good measure of progress.
With your permission, such images may also be used to showcase my work for advertising and marketing purposes on my social media platforms, website, leaflets etc. These images will be anonymous and will never include personal information or reveal your identity. This is entirely optional, and you have the right to refuse. I will be respectful of your wishes either way.
Performance & Delivery Guarantee
It is of the utmost importance that clients are able to focus and work with me during a session without distraction. Please make arrangements in advance for handling incoming phone calls, redirecting visitors, pets, childcare etc. so that the sessions are not interrupted.
I will not discard anything without the client’s permission. I help the client make decisions about what to keep and what to discard, but the final decision is always theirs.
The client is responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the discarding or destroying of any records or personal effects. The client agrees to make final decisions about the discarding of items.
I will clean the focus areas we are working on for organising purposes, but I am not a housecleaning service.
I agree to implement the proposed solutions within a reasonable period of time, as discussed with the client, and for the price agreed upon.
