We’re always hearing about the benefits of houseplants and how they can reduce stress and anxiety, and filter toxins from the atmosphere…
But houseplants in the bedroom?
I love houseplants, but for a very long time, I was under the impression that having them in your bedroom was not recommended and not a good idea, due to the fact they release carbon dioxide at night.
However, studies have shown that not all plants release carbon dioxide at night.
Some plants, like the ones listed below, still release oxygen even when they are not in the process of photosynthesis. Add to that their excellent ability to mop up pollutants from the atmosphere and you have a beautiful piece of natural decor for your bedroom with added health benefits!
Popping some greenery on your bedside table seems to be a very good idea after all! It can boost your sleep, your breathing and your overall health.
